Ohio Kids First Launches New 2024 Ohio Voter Guide

COLUMBUS, OH – With children’s and family issues at center-stage leading into this November’s elections, Ohio Kids First (OKF) launched its online 2024 Voter Guide, featuring candidate questionnaire responses. The questionnaire, which has been sent to all Ohio House and Senate candidates, focuses on issues that matter most to infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, and the families that care for them

“It is critical to elect leaders who will put the needs of Ohio children front and center in our state’s legislature,” said Rachel Selby, Executive Director of Ohio Kids First. “From the child care crisis and quality early learning to healthcare access and early intervention, Ohio’s children and their families face significant challenges and needs, but are all-too-often overlooked. Now, more than ever, we need early childhood champions who are committed to laying a strong foundation for our youngest children in Ohio.”

The Voter Guide can be accessed at www.OhioKidsFirst.org/candidates. More than 50 responses have been received – split almost evenly between Republicans and Democrats – and are live on the website.

“We thank all candidates who have taken the time to complete the questionnaire and we call on all remaining candidates to submit their responses so that voters can understand where they stand on these vital issues,” continued Selby.

OKF thanks the following candidates for their submissions:
